My List Of Awesome Movies

1.The Man from Earth->

 This is one of the most overlooked movie in the 2000-2010 decade. It is one of the most entertaining movies I have watched, based on the little movement by the people, I mean it all goes on in one room, in one area. No flashbacks, no nothing. Just people having one of the most interesting conversation of all. This movie is so fascinating because, you can't as pointed out in the film, not say if it's true or not. You can't prove, nor disapprove it. I don't know what to believe, and I think that is the point of the movie, leaving the audience torn apart.

The Man From Earth is a very unusual movie. It isn't about crime, suspense, adventure or action. And that twist at the end ... you have to see this one.

2.In To The Wild->

Inspired by a true story this was one of the most powerful films that I have ever seen. It changed my outlook completely and it helped me to appreciate the most simple things in life.

The acting, filming, scenery and Eddie Vedders fantastic soundtrack are all amazing but the story itself is what does it. A mans strict refusal to be lured in by the evil in society leads to an epic journey of Self Development, proving that real strength lies within. This film will not only entertain, it will inspire. It shows that the only thing stopping you, is you.

A True Masterpiece.

3.Groundhog Day->

The movie revolves around Phil (Bill Murray), a melancholy weatherman who one day realizes the futility of his life while down doing the annual "Groundhog Day" story. When he awakes the next day, he eventually discovers he is reliving yesterday. The days keep passing, and he keeps finding himself back on that same day. Phil must decide what do do with that time, and work out how he'll possibly get onto that next day and the rest of his life.

Great character development throughout, solid plot, good casting, great acting and truly original ideas. I loved the variety of ways the main character chooses to live, or rather re-live each day.Buy it, trust me you'll watch it again.

4.It's a Wonderful Life->

    Depressed about how your life turned out? Watch this film

I can't think of a better message or anything more inspirational than can be found  in this film.The story is a reminder that we're all important and, no matter how tough it gets,we need to keep going.

It's A Wonderful Life tells the story of George Bailey, an honest,hard-working resident of Bedford Falls who dreams of seeing the world.But the circumstances pushed him to the brink of suicide and he is saved by an Angel.George gets the chance to see what life would be like in Bedford Falls if he had  never been born and realizes the true importance of his life.A must Watch for ALL...

5.The Good, the Bad and the Ugly->
Search on IMDB and the comment says it all "For a girl who doesn't enjoy westerns much, this was one of the greatest films ever!"
There are too many parts to the film, too many special moments, to comment on any more . It is a film that, if you haven't seen, you should as soon as possible. And if you have seen it, a second, third or fifty-seventh viewing is in order. This film has quality that we are not given the privilege to see very often.

6.The Dark Knight->

R.I.P. Heath Ledger. This portray of Joker will never be forgotten.

Christopher Nolan has made his masterpiece. The perfect balance between drama and superhero action can be found here in The Dark Knight.
My favorite moment was when the joker tells how he's got the scar around his mouth.I think you may have already seen this movie if not buy it today.

Movie Review

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ->Deserves a Kiss and a Bang

Directed by Shane Black and stars Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer.Robert Downey Jr. is a thief who is lucky  enough to escape from the police being confused with an actor in a casting.Bang is the word to describe the acting of Robert Downey Jr., having a really good performance for a funny character.

Robert Downey Junior here is Harry, a bumbling small time thief who through a series of coincidences and misunderstandings finds himself sent to LA for a movie audition where he is instructed to 'research' his role with the tough as nails gay Private Eye Perry (Val Kilmer in a scene stealing turn). Perry and Harry though soon find themselves in over their heads when they come into possession of a murdered girl's corpse and pursued by kidnappers, while at the same time getting mixed up with Harmony (the gorgeous Michelle Monaghan), a struggling actress whose sister has just recently committed suicide. The ensuing plot may be rather difficult to follow on first viewing, but this is a film that rewards repeat watches as there are always great lines to pick up on that you may have missed first time.

Rather than focusing on action this explores the comic and indeed genius pairing of Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr.Clever, fun, witty, rich characters...I could go on but I'll leave by saying, if you like to laugh... love a good pace, cleverness and wit, then go see Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Deserves 8/10 rating.I might be biased on Robert Downey Jr movies :)

Most Confusing Films Of All-Time

These movies gives us something to debate on what exactly was the movie all about.Checkout few of my fav.Will keep adding them.......

1.Donnie Darko ->  Its a Mad Mad World (One of my fav songs)

 Flash forwards,backwards, attempt at philosophical references, and you can make your own interpretation of the  story.Donnie Darko fans love its mindless story and its confusing ending.Director's cut was released in 2004 that  makes the twisty, time travel plot a bit easier to follow.Well thought-provoking tale about love, fate, fear and all the other emotions.I loved Donnie Darko and had many debates on the movie with my gang.

2.Memento->

The movie tells the story of man who suffers from amnesia,as he attempts to hunt down one of the men who raped and murdered his wife.To make the matter worse the scenes were out of sequence of occurrence.Well had to watch couple of times to understand the sequence  f the  story.Bollywood movie Ghajni was inspired by Memento but only dared to copy the concept.

3.Pi->

The idea was excellent, but it doesn't seem to amount to anything conclusive.Audience left with many unanswered Q's at the end of the movie wondering, "what was that microchip all about   and why didn't they elaborate more on that? Why was the religious group interested in the         number 216 The end of the movie left audience confused .But that's the beauty of these kind of films that it isn't meant to be fully understood by the audience.

Most Overrated Movies

This list is purely based on my personal opinion

1.Lawrence of Arabia ->Considered to be a classic one though but felt it was too long and boring.May be some of you may agree with me on this one :)

2.Amadeus->Thanks to the great music which holds the movie together ,but seriously with the twisted reality and lack of any strong acting performance this movie seems highly overrated.

3.Gone with the winds->Not my genre though,but surely was too long and boring,cant imagine how   it ruled the box office.

4.The Birds-;Hitchkock forces us to think why this movie was made.I guess the birds came and  did nothing but shit ;).

5.Avatar->Well,first of all i love this movie with the incredible special effects and creative vision of  james cameron.But suddenly you have the tech to create avatar clones and transmit brain signals to     them.The movie was definitely good but did not meet the hype it created.

6.No Country For Old Men-Again, not a bad movie. Great acting, cinematography ......How this film even got   nominated for an Oscar is beyond me and the fact that is won as best picture totally blows my mind.

7.The Departed-I love Scorces,but this one seems to be a masala bollywood movie that didn't did justice to     its characters and the hype surrounding this movie.I watched it and enjoyed it, but it's just an average movie,       with big stars and a famous director.

8.Sunset Blvd-Good performance all around, although not really Oscar worthy.May be the predictability of it all    made "Sunset Blvd." overly long and not nearly as pleasing and good as it could have been.

9.Citizen Kane-I quite like the story of them trying to find the meaning of someones last words. But it was very slow in places. I thought there were moments that were quite boring as nothing really happened. But there were a few scenes and bits in the film that I thought were entertaining.WHY do so many people think Citizen Kane is one of the best of all time or may be i have to watch it again.

10.Sin City-A slow movie with comic visuals that lucked out by being the "Hip" movie of the year that it was uncool to dislike. Too bad about Bruce Willis and Mickey Rourke, they ruined my impression about them,although the acting was not that bad.It's empty, it's shallow and a huge waste of talent.

 So do you agree? or your fav is on the list!!!!,Any movie that you think should  have been on that list.
